Shadow's ReflectionDOB: April 13, 1998 Horn: 63.75 |
|
Shadow’s Reflection (who we call Flex)
is a huge, solid black bull with a fabulous horn measurement (63.75”)
on a solid base. He is a very long and tall (61” at the hip) bull
with excellent frame size and beefiness which he inherited from his famous
grandsire, Senator and from his equally well regard sire, The
Shadow. He combines those traits with an extremely gentle and friendly
disposition. Overall, there do not appear to be any holes in this bull. Flex is a son of The Shadow, an all black, heavily muscled 2,100 pound bull with a tip to tip horn measurement of 64”. The Shadow was, in turn, one of the best sons of the great Senator bull. Flex’s dam is Miss Jean 498, a tall 1,100 lb. cow with 54” tip to tip and 74” of total horn. She is a granddaughter of the great Measles Super Ranger on the paternal side of her pedigree, and of Monarch 103 on the bottom side. Essentially, Flex’s pedigree is a walking who’s who of the great names in the Texas Longhorn breed. With his size, his color, and the Butler influence in his dam’s pedigree, Flex should contribute frame, substance, horn length, gentleness and flashy color to each calf he sires. We plan to own him for a long, long time, and we look forward to many fabulous offspring from this rare – indeed once in a lifetime – bull. |
